The Arlington Parks and Recreation Department has been awarded the Texas Recreation and Parks Society (TRAPS) Promotional Marketing and Excellence Award, presented at the society’s state convention March 2 in Waco.

It’s the 10th state or national honor for the marketing team since 2015.

The five-member APRD marketing team is responsible for management of the department website NaturallyFun.org, six sub-sites, all graphic design, digital and print advertising efforts, email marketing, design and editing of the department’s Naturally Fun magazine, which is produced three times annually.

It also publishes a single-issue Summer Camp/Aquatics guide, along with producing photography and videography, text messaging, sponsorship fulfillment and special event promotions.
