With New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day coming this weekend, the City of Arlington has released a list of what will be open and what won’t be during the holiday.

On Sunday, Dec. 31, all Parks and Recreation Department administration offices will be closed, along with most recreation centers and the Hugh Smith Pool. The Cliff Nelson Recreation Center and the Elzie Odom Athletic Center will both be open from noon to 5 p.m.

The Tierra Verde and Lake Arlington Golf Courses will both be closed, although both pro shops will be open. Meadowbrook Golf Course will be the only one open.

With freezing temperatures expected for the city, Tierra Verde and Lake Arlington golf courses will be covering their greens through Tuesday. Anyone coming to the courses is asked to contact the courses before coming out.

The Ventana Grille at Tierra Verde Golf Course will be open both Sunday and Monday.

Lake Arlington will be open, and the Arlington Tennis Center will be open until 3 p.m. Sunday.

On New Year’s Day, all city services will be closed. The Tierra Verde and Lake Arlington Golf Course Pro Shops will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and the Meadowbrook Park Golf Course will be open.

There will be no garbage or recycling collection on Monday. Garbage and recycling services will resume as scheduled on Tuesday.
