17-year-old shot during burglary was student at Martin
A homeowner shot and killed the 17-year-old during a car burglary attempt
The Tarrant County Medical Examiner has identified the individual shot and killed early Sunday morning.
David Crews, 17, of Arlington, has been identified as the man killed during a vehicle burglary that was interrupted Sunday morning around 3 a.m. in the 3700 block of French Wood Drive.
Police are investigating the incident as a probable vehicle burglary that was interrupted by the homeowner at the residence.
Arlington ISD spokeswoman Leslie Johnston confirmed Crews was a student at Martin High School. Grief counseling is available to students and staff.
A second suspect who fled the scene has also turned himself in, but has not been charged.
