Woman killed in Arlington vehicle collision
An investigation is underway to determine the circumstances of the crash
A woman was killed Sunday after being struck by a commercial vehicle at an East Arlington intersection.
The woman, who police identified as 27 years old, was struck in the intersection where Brown Boulevard turns into East Avenue K around 6 p.m. The intersection is right off State Highway 360.
The woman was traveling westbound on Brown when a commercial vehicle traveling southbound on the intersecting road, Watson Road, struck her vehicle.
The female was transported to an area hospital where she later died. The driver of the commercial vehicle was not injured.
“Investigators are actively working the scene interviewing witnesses and collecting evidence to determine what caused the accident,” Sgt. VaNessa Harrison, a spokesperson with the Department’s media office, wrote in a release.
It’s not clear who had the right-of-way.
The Tarrant County Medical Examiner has yet to identify the victim.
