A woman has died after a stabbing incident involving herself and two others in South Arlington.

The tragic incident started at a Super Walmart in the 4600 block of South Cooper Street at approximately 9:30 p.m. on Monday.

Responding officers located a man in his 20's with multiple stab wounds. He was transported to a hospital. His condition is currently unknown.

Police were notified of a second stabbing about six minutes later up the street in the 4800 block of South Cooper Street. A woman in her 40's had been stabbed multiple times by a man behind a retail business. She was transported to an area hospital where she later died.

While police were attempting to stabilize the scene, the male suspect, also in his 40's, began stabbing himself multiple times. He was transported to a hospital and his condition is unknown.

"Detectives are in the process of interviewing multiple witnesses at both scenes," said Lt. Christopher Cook, a spokesperson with the police department. "Investigators believe that the victims and suspect knew each other and may have a family relationship."

He said it was too early to tell what caused the fatal incident.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner has not released the name of the female victim.
