Chicken Express robbery suspect arrested in Arlington
The suspect was arrested earlier this year for a separate offense, according to online records
A man wanted for an armed robbery at a Grand Prairie fast food restaurant was arrested in Arlington overnight.
Victor Bester, 55, was arrested overnight in the 1000 block of Havenbrook Drive in South Arlington after police identified him as the person who robbed a Grand Prairie Chicken Express at knifepoint. The incident happened on Sept. 26 at a location in the 5100 block of Lake Ridge Parkway.
Security footage showed Bester enter the location and threaten an employee with a three-inch knife. After the employee opened the register, Bester emptied it of cash and fled the scene.
Grand Prairie and Arlington Police Departments collaborated to make the arrest.
A social media post by Grand Prairie's Department suggested Bester had previously been arrested for a separate incident. Online records suggest he was arrested in mid-April of this year for “retaliation.”
Bester is being held in Grand Prairie’s jail on one count of aggravated robbery. His bail is set at $150,000.
