Victim identified in fatal crash on Interstate 30 last Saturday
The driver was arrested on intoxication manslaughter charges
The victim of a fatal automobile crash early last Saturday morning at Interstate 30 and Ballpark Way has been identified by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office as Paola Hernandez, 25, of Fort Worth.
Ms. Hernandez was in the passenger side of a vehicle being driving by 26-year-old Jesus Briones.
Briones, driving eastbound in a sport utility vehicle, began drifting toward the outside shoulder and struck an unoccupied passenger vehicle parked on the shoulder. Ms. Hernandez was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
Following a series of field sobriety tests, Briones was arrested and charged with Intoxication Manslaughter in Ms. Hernandez’s death. He was taken to the Arlington Jail, but was transferred to the Tarrant County Jail where he has been released on bond.
