One killed in two-car collision on southbound S.H. 360
A passenger car collides with an SUV attempting a lane change
Police responded to a fatal two-vehicle accident on State Highway 360 Monday morning that claimed the life of a 39-year-old Arlington man.
At approximately 11:13 a.m., emergency personnel responded to a crash in the 4200 block of southbound S.H. 360. involving a passenger vehicle and a sports utility vehicle.
Investigators believe 39-year-old Thierry Muanza, of Arlington, was traveling at a high rate of speed when he collided with an SUV that was attempting to make a lane change.
Following the impact, Muanza's car left the roadway and began traveling on the grassy median before striking a concrete bridge pillar and catching fire. First responders were able to extricate Muanza.
He was transported to Medical City Arlington where he died from his injuries at 2:18 p.m.
The driver of the SUV was not injured in the collision.
