Martin crushes Paschal, 76-0; Lamar wins on late field goal

Mansfield hands Arlington its first loss of the season, 34-13

Martin senior Juma Otoviano ran for three touchdowns and passed for a fourth to pace Martin (5-0, 2-0 in District 4-6A) past Fort Worth Paschal, 76-0, in the Warriors’ Homecoming game Friday night at Cravens Field.

The Warriors bolted to a 49-0 halftime lead, limiting the Panthers to just one first down and 50 yards of total offense. Martin reserve quarterback Stephen Mohon tossed two touchdown passes in the second half and ran for a third.

Lamar 33, North Crowley 32

CROWLEY – Lamar’s Juan Villegas kicked an 18-yard field goal with eight seconds left to lift the Vikings (3-2, 2-0 in District 4-6A) to a last-second victory over North Crowley (2-3, 0-2) Friday night at Panther Field.

Lamar’s Jack Dawson passed for 290 yards and two touchdowns – both to Jalen Jones -- to lead the Lamar offense.

Mansfield 34, Arlington 13

Avery Chatman rushed for 77 yards and one touchdown and Theo Owens added two more rushing touchdowns as the Mansfield Tigers (4-1, 2-0) handed the Arlington Colts (4-1, 1-1) their first loss of the season Friday night at Maverick Stadium.

Trey Cleveland caught seven passes for 78 yards and two touchdowns for Arlington.   

Bowie 28, Sam Houston 7

Bowie’s Malcolm Mays fired three touchdown passes to lead the Volunteers (2-3, 1-1 in District 4-6A) past Sam Houston (2-3, 0-2) Thursday night at Wilemon Field.

Jacob Dollar scampered four yards in the first quarter for the Texans’ only touchdown of the evening.

Everman 49, Juan Seguin 10

Jyden Hollie and Kenneth Johnson each ran for two touchdowns to lead Everman (2-3, 2-0 in District 9-5A) past Juan Seguin, ruining the Cougars’ Homecoming game Friday night at Wilemon Field.

Jorge Barrera tossed an 11-yard touchdown pass to Terrence Roberts to provide the only touchdown for Seguin (1-4, 0-2).

West Orange-Stark 23, Kennedale 20 (OT)

NACOGDOCHES – West Orange-Stark quarterback Chaka Watson ran 23 yards for his third touchdown of the night to lift the Mustangs (5-0) past Kennedale, 23-20, in a non-district game Friday night in Nacogdoches.

Kennedale’s Jaden Knowles rushed for 135 yards, including an 81-yard scoring dash, to lead the Wildcats (4-1).
