The Texas Rangers and the Cordish Companies have announced that the construction on Texas Live! is on schedule to be completed by its target date of late summer or early fall.

The construction engineers estimate that 54,000 cubic yards of dirt have been moved from the project site, located between Globe Life Park and AT&T Stadium. In addition, around 1,000 tons of structural steel is being anchored at the site by 10,000 cubic yards of concrete, which will complete the exterior framework of the project.

In addition to Texas Live!, construction also continues on the Live! by Loews Hotel, slated to open in 2019, and Globe Life Field, which will become the Rangers' new ballpark in 2020. The Rangers and Cordish announced that the three projects together are creating $1.25 billion of new development in the Entertainment District.

The construction for the project is a joint-venture partnership of Manhattan Construction Company and Con-Real, an Arlington-based, minority-owned business.

When completed, Texas Live! will be a year-round destination for locals, sports fans, visitors and families. Expected to open by the end of the year are Rangers Republic, Live! Arena, Arlington Backyard, PBR Country Bar, a Guy Fieri restaurant, and the Lockhart Smokehouse.

In addition, Revolver Brewing has plans to open a working brewery, bar and tasting room inside the Live! by Loews hotel when it opens next year.
