Leibman appointed Chief Operating Officer for Rangers

The Chairman of the Rangers' Ownership Committee will oversee the club's revenue and business operations

Neil Leibman, a member of the Board of Directors of the Texas Rangers, was appointed as Chief Operating Officer for the team on Friday.

Leibman, who was part of the team that purchased the ballclub in 2010, had been serving as Chairman of the Texas Rangers Ownership Committee for the past five years. He will oversee all of the club’s revenue and business operations areas.

The team announced that he will also continue in his role as Chairman of the Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation.

In addition to his various roles with the team, Leibman is a member of Major League Baseball’s Diversity and International Committees on the ownership level.

The Chief Executive Officer of Summer Energy Inc., Leibman was recently became the Chairman of Optic Gaming, an Esports company.
